Our People
Our Board of Trustees
Our Board of Trustees come from diverse backgrounds and play a critical role in guiding our organisation in its mission to provide high-quality care and support services to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. Their dedication and strategic decision-making help shape our future and contribute to the well-being of the people we support and our colleagues.
Trustee Responsibilities
The Board values active trustee engagement with Community Integrated Care’s services, colleagues and people supported by the charity. Trustees are encouraged to engage with different teams across the organisation, such as the finance team, to offer their expertise and support.
The responsibilities of the Board include:
- Strategic Planning: Planning and setting the strategic direction of the organisation.
- Governance Oversight: Ensuring that the charity is well-governed and operates in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Financial Stewardship: Ensuring the financial health of the organisation. This includes approving budgets, financial plans, and financial policies.
- Risk Management: Agreeing the Risk Management Framework and overseeing the management of strategic risks.
- Executive Leadership and Accountability: Providing support to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging in public relations and advocacy efforts to promote the charity’s mission. Maintaining a sense of connection through work with visits, discussions with people we support and staff on a regular basis.
As one of the UK’s largest social care charities, we’re all about people.
